Real Wedding: Dina & Apson July 15th

It is hard to believe a year has gone by for this lovely couple!  Meet Dina and Apson!  This lovely couple learned of Joie de Vie's services from a coworker of one of our former brides. After seeing that bride's wedding in a past issue of the Central Florida Bride magazine and hearing about our attention to detail in the wedding planning process, they contacted us about their wedding day.
Dina came to our office wanting to plan a very simple and classic wedding.  Her favorite flowers, red roses, would be the touch of color she added to her blacerk and white color palette.  Their wedding day (a Friday) was full of showers.  Since rain on the wedding day is a blessing; this laid back bride took it all in with a smile.

Below are a few of our favorite photos taken by Rhodes Studios on the wedding day:
Dina's gorgeous dress is an Alfred Angelo gown.

Opting out of the traditional bridal party, Dina wanted to honor her Haitian heritage by having an all female bridal party.  She allowed her bridesmaids to choose a little black dress that complimented their style.

As with a traditional Haitian wedding, signing the marriage license is a part of the wedding ceremony.  The maid of honor and best man sign the license with the officiate.

The groom, his best man and ushers.

Levan's Catering had amazing linens that we were able to use throughout the reception to stay within our budget.  Their black royal strip linen was perfect with the black chiavari chairs from Orlando Wedding & Party Rentals.
The couple had the bridal party sit with their loved ones.  The head table was used for them, their parents, the officiant.

It's Tasty Too! was able to replicate a cake that the bride found in a local magazine.  This cake has become one of their popular selections.
We used a gunmetal pintuck linen on the cake table to help it stand out in the room.
