I actually was against a guest book, they all seemed so "old fashioned" so I was skipping it. But, I was so excited when I got my new fall edition and say the pages the guests fill in and draw the pictures... Now I have totally put that in my plan, I loved it!

In the magazine I saw the suggestion to have your guests bring mason jars to use for drinks! Great idea that we might use as our reception is an outdoor BBQ with lawn games! Also, we are using mason jars hanging on shepard hooks for our aisle runner, so we can take the mason jars home to reuse, so it goes with our "theme"! YAY for mason jars!

I have been trying to think of a creative idea for a guestbook that my fiance and I will actually read over the years. The traditional guestbook is something that couples read once and then it goes onto a shelf, never to be opened again. When I was reading the last issue of get married I saw the pre-designed guestbook pages and fell in love. My fiance and I are having a photo booth and this book is perfect! We are going to have each guest take a picture in the photobooth. We will also have the guests fill out the guestbook pages. After the wedding, the photobooth company is providing us with a cd of all the images taken in the booth. We are going to place the guests photo on their page. I love that we will have a more personalized guestbook with personal feelings from our guests and we also will have a fun photo of each guest right next to their thoughts . Thank you get married! You saved me from a lame guestbook that I will never read!

We are having a beach wedding and I loved the idea of having the ring bearer and flower girl use huge seashells instead of a pillow to bear the ring or a flower basket for the flowers. It sounds so adorable.

Since I found Get Married on twitter (actually, they found me), I have not seen an idea that I haven't liked! I've used their pictures to inspire my florist, used the website to find a wedding day hair do, and found wonderful ideas for gifts for my bridal party through their vendors. I LOVE them and will prob peruse their pages many moons after my wedding!

I would have never thought to have a grooms cake, however as a surprise for my fiance I am having a Moving truck cake made as he has been a mover for 15+ years! I would have never thought to do it without seeing the great cakes in your magazine!

I saw information about how to pick out tuxes for the men in the wedding. It was so helpful to learn the ins and outs of tuxes. I loved the way the final tux selection looked and are going to have all the groomsmen looking just like that!
